My Pencil and New Passions

From a young age, I used a pencil to capture the impressions I gathered from my surroundings. After completing solid apprenticeship as a seamstress, I deepened my creative expression in the fashion design class at the School of Design in Basel. The blend of design and construction—transforming my ideas into reality—has fascinated me ever since and remains a driving force in my work.

The birth of my three sons heightened my deep interest in nature and its laws. This experience ignited a strong desire to align my profession more closely with ecological responsibility and sustainability.

My Journey

For seven years, I passionately designed collections under my own name and, together with my co-founder, sold them in Swiss boutiques and in our own store. I gained my expertise in trend analysis at a trend office in Meilen, Switzerland, where my team identified trends and compiled them into comprehensive buying recommendations for retailers.

At Intersport International, I was responsible for the final steps of pre-production for private label ski apparel, including fitting, sample control, and communication of changes.

After a longer break, which I fondly call "life," I rediscovered my passion for design at the end of 2021. From my cozy home studio, I support fashion brands in creating their next designs.

My Passion Sustainability

Sustainability, circularity, and social responsibility are themes that drive me. As a designer, I seek solutions. Can design be sustainable? Yes, I believe so! Sustainable clothing is not solely created through the use of organic materials and short transportation routes; sustainable principles can also be applied during the design and development phases. Circular design makes sure, that all of the components can be reused at its end of live, low offcut waste patterns prevent larger amounts of waste during cutting, while end-roll designs provide solutions for using "old" fabric. Additionally, complementary accessories can be made from cutting waste.

Above all, my focus is on creating garments that appeal and can be worn for a long time, with combinations that span multiple seasons. To achieve this, I filter trend themes and subtly incorporate them into the brand's aesthetic language. With my expertise in trend forecasting and development, I can offer you solutions for all these complex questions.

My Companions

Alongside my primary tool, the pencil, Adobe Illustrator and Excel are my companions. With them and my know-how, I bring shape to your visions.
