I'M SARAH.
EXPERT IN WOMENSWEAR ESSENTIALS
MY PENCIL AND EARLY CURIOSITY
As a child, I was a quiet observer.
I would come home and draw what I had seen - translating impressions into lines and shapes.
This instinct to observe and reinterpret has stayed with me.
After completing an apprenticeship as a tailor, I deepened my creative foundation at the School of Design in Basel, where I studied fashion design.
The connection between design and construction - turning ideas into real garments - has fascinated me ever since and continues to shape my work today.
MY JOURNEY
For seven years, I designed collections under my own label and co-founded a brand that was sold in Swiss boutiques and our own store.
I later specialized in trend analysis at a trend office in Meilen, where we translated runway designer collections into clear buying and design recommendations for retailers.
At Intersport International, I worked in the final stages of pre-production for private label ski apparel, focusing on fitting, sample development, and production communication.
Over time, my role evolved from creator to connector - between concept, product, and reality.
After a longer break - which I like to call life - I returned to design at the end of 2021, working from my home studio to support fashion brands in developing their collections.
DESIGN APPROACH
My work combines aesthetic clarity with technical understanding and material awareness.
I support brands from concept to production - translating ideas into Womenswear that is both visually refined and ready for real-world use.
Rather than working in isolated steps, I see design as a continuous process where concept, material, fit, and construction are closely connected.
CIRCULAR THINKING
Sustainability, circularity, and responsibility are not separate topics in my work - they are part of the design process itself.
I believe sustainable design starts much earlier than material selection.
It begins in the way a garment is constructed, simplified, and considered from the very first sketch.
This includes:
-
reducing unnecessary complexity in design and construction
-
considering material use and waste already in the development phase
-
supporting longevity through fit, function, and aesthetic relevance
-
integrating end-of-life thinking into the design process
For me, circular thinking is not a label - it is a design method that leads to more conscious decisions.
WHAT I FOCUS ON
My focus is on womenswear that feels relevant beyond a single season.
I create garments that are wearable, considered, and aligned with the identity of the brand they belong to.
With a background in trend analysis and development, I translate external influences into clear, brand-specific design directions.
I support my clients where they need it most - always with the goal of creating meaningful, design-driven value.
